The most commonly used pepper in the world!The green, black and white peppers come from the same plant, pepper plant, but are harvested at various stages of their development. Black pepper is harvested green, before maturity, and is left to dry in the sun: the shell of the fruit then wrinkles and turns black. This is this skin that gives black pepper its pungent flavour.
This pepper is used to enhance the taste of meat, fish and vegetables, while cooking or at the table, and to spice up sauces and marinades.
