Utilisation
This blend of white and black pepper offers a multitude of spicy and fragrant flavours that can accompany meat, fish and vegetables. The strength of black pepper combines with the softness and subtlety of white pepper to enhance any dish.
Both peppers are from the same plant, piper nigrum, but were harvested at two different stages of their development. While black pepper is picked green before maturity and dried in the sun, white pepper is picked when mature. Its hull is removed to keep only the white berries, and then they are soaked in brine.
